Landfall
Landfall is New Zealand’s longest running arts and literary magazine. ‘It showcases new fiction and poetry, as well as biographical and critical essays, and cultural commentary.’ Edited by Lynley Edmeades, Landfall is a paperback published biannually by Otago University Press. It only accepts submissions that have not been published before. ‘While many established names appear in our pages, the editor and Landfall‘s readers are always on the lookout for exciting work from new writers and artists.’

Ora Nui
Ora Nui is a biennial Māori literary journal, that publishes new and emerging Māori writers. The 2021 issue was a New Zealand and Taiwan Special Edition presenting the artwork and writing of the indigenous peoples of New Zealand and Taiwan. ‘According to the Austronesian Migration Theory, Māori descend from the indigenous tribes of Taiwan, who migrated widely. As a result of this migration, New Zealand and Taiwan share genealogical, linguistic, and cultural connections.’
